Brighter. Better. Together.

At Flinders Foundation, we care about you and your loved ones.

That’s why we work hard to improve the equipment, the environment and the experiences for patients at Flinders Medical Centre, Noarlunga Hospital and The Repat Health Precinct, along with those accessing public health services across more than 20 sites in the south of Adelaide.

Your support, their joy

Thanks to our generous donors and partners, 2022 saw us spearhead 29 projects totalling over $1.1 million. From the smallest touches to the grandest gestures, these efforts make a big impact on thousands of lives.

Some of the recent work our supporters have made possible includes:

Providing improved equipment and facilities for patients and staff

We’ve purchased ventilators, cots, webcams, bottle warmers and breast pumps for the Neonatal Unit; a bladder scanner for the Intensive Care Unit; and cold caps to prevent hair loss for patients undergoing chemotherapy in the Flinders Infusion Suite.

Enhancing the experiences and wellbeing of patients and families

We’ve funded live performances, a laughter care program and mobile sensory units for people with dementia; VR headsets for paediatric allergy clinics and Noarlunga Hospital’s Emergency Department; art, music and pet therapy; and the Stella Bella Beads Program, which allows parents of sick and premature babies to mark important milestones.

Improving the environment and atmosphere of wards and units

We’ve refurbished an accommodation flat for Aboriginal patients and their families requiring cardiac surgery and upgraded the staff room for the Intensive Care Unit.

Creating new programs for the Cancer Wellness Centre

Big believers in holistic healing, we’ve funded art workshops, live music and hired a centre manager to run these programs.

Celebrating and recognising the amazing work of Flinders health professionals

Each year, we’re proud to support International Nurses and Midwives Day and hold staff recognition events with our colleagues in the Southern Adelaide Local Health Network.

We're also on the cusp of building a better Child Protection Service – a haven for 2,000 vulnerable children seeking a lifeline each year. It's a promise of safety, warmth and brighter tomorrows.

Touching lives

No matter how big or small, every donation we receive transforms spaces at Flinders and across the local health network into places of hope and healing.

We’re always looking for new and innovative ways to improve patient care and staff wellbeing. If you have any ideas or suggestions for future projects or programs, please let us know. We would love to hear from you.
